As we hand-select all of our pieces personally, we only buy high-quality items. If there is any damage or excessive wear on a piece, it will be clearly noted in the description. However, please keep in mind that many of our pieces are hand-carved and slight imperfections in carving are part of the nature of hand-crafted works and add to the beauty of the piece. Also, we ask you to keep in mind that there is no such thing as a new antique or vintage item, and normal wear associated with these items is to be expected.
We do not purchase or sell new reproduction furniture. All of our items are unique, vintage (under 100 years old) or antique (over 100 years old) pieces. We seek professional advice on each piece to insure that the date given in the description is a true and accurate estimation of its age.
Any agreement between us is governed by the laws of both the US and South Carolina and both parties agree to 3rd party arbitration for any dispute settlement. We have made every effort to reproduce colors on this site as accurately as possible. However, not all computer monitors are calibrated in the same way, and therefore color variations may occur from one monitor to the next. If you are not satisfied with the color of any item you have ordered, please let us know and we'll strive to find an agreeable solution.
Packing and Shipping (Contiguous US)
We guarantee safe delivery of your order by working with reputable shipping companies, which specialize in handling antiques, to pack and ship your order within the contiguous United States. Shipping, handling and insurance charges are based on the weight and size of the individual piece, the distance to be shipped, and the value of the purchase. Shipping several pieces together normally reduces the shipping cost per item. All shipping, handling and insurance charges are at the customer's expense.
We take great care in arranging for the packing of your order. Because most of the items Simply Grand Antiques are irreplaceable, we require insurance on ALL orders shipped. In the unlikely event that damage is evident upon receipt of an order, please keep all packaging material and report the damage to us immediately so that we can make a claim against the insurance policy. We reserve the right to request the return of damaged items.
If you are in South Carolina, North Carolina, or Georgia, we can arrange for a local antique moving company to deliver your order directly to your home or business.
We are always happy to help you load your order into your own vehicle if you choose to pick it up at our warehouse located in Newberry, South Carolina. Please call in advance to set up an appointment at 1-803-276-4001.
Foreign & Overseas Shipments
It is the policy of Simply Grand Antiques to require payment in U.S. Dollars before releasing any foreign or overseas order for shipment. A pro-forma invoice will be sent upon request. Your local authorities can advise you as to your current import requirements. If an import permit is required, we will need a copy.
